Call to Audition: Sweeney Todd

The Livingston Theatre Company invites you to audition for their first mainstage production, Sweeney Todd, with music and lyrics written by Stephen Sondheim and book written by Hugh Wheeler. The LTC’s Sweeney Todd will be directed by Caleb Barron.

An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth-century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which, he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up... and the carnage has only just begun!

Before the Breakdown: 2019-2020 Revue Production Staff Applications

Cabaret Theatre and the Livingston Theatre Company are pleased to announce the 2019 back-to-school revue: “Before the Breakdown: A Musical Revue”, written and directed by Maya Mitterhoff!

In a contemporary world dominated by social media’s emphasis on comparing oneself to others, the struggle to discover personal identity seems more treacherous than ever. Before the Breakdown: A Musical Revue tells stories of our journey to finding who we are. It begs the question: is it possible to accept the self while simultaneously working towards change and growth? Although our experiences and situations may differ greatly, we all search for that same thing: acceptance from within ourselves and from those around us.

Apply to be a part of the production staff before they close on June 19 at 11:59pm!
